Linn Foundation Gives $250K for Rogerson House Redevelopment
Rogerson Communities announced today the receipt of a $250,000 grant from the Ruby W. and LaVon P. Linn Foundation in support of its Rogerson House redevelopment project in Jamaica Plain. The project consists of building a new six-story building with 66 memory care units, in addition to 41 affordable independent living apartments for older adults, to replace the existing Rogerson House building on site. The Boston Foundation Gives $10K in Support of LGBTQIA+ Resident Health and Fitness
Rogerson Communities today announced the receipt of a $10,000 award from The Boston Foundation in support of enhancing exercise and increasing socialization at its Joy Street Residence on Beacon Hill. The grant was awarded by The Boston Foundation’s Equality Fund, which works to advance the equitable treatment of LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families and support nonprofit organizations in the Boston area that serve and strengthen the LGBTQIA+ community. The Joy Street Residence, a sober and drug-free independent living residence with supportive services for low-income people living with HIV/AIDS, was developed by Rogerson in partnership with Fenway Health (formerly AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts). Board Member Makes Quarter-Million Dollar Donation in Support of Massive Senior Living Community Redevelopment
Rogerson Communities announced today the receipt of a charitable gift of $250,000 made by Darlene L. Boroviak. The gift will cover predevelopment expenses related to the organization’s planned redevelopment of its Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home (DCN) community in Norton. The transformational project represents a tenfold expansion of Rogerson’s footprint and mission in southeastern Massachusetts. Currently a 25-bed, single-level assisted living residence, DCN is being reimagined as a purpose-built senior living campus offering 103 independent living apartments, 100 independent living cottages, and 48 supportive living beds, including memory care. Fifty-five acres of fields and woodlands around the development will be conserved for resident and community use.
