Provide Housing and Care for Our Residents
There are several types of planned gifts you can make to Rogerson, depending on your personal estate planning and tax planning needs.
Bequests
Bequests allow donors to make a significant gift to Rogerson without affecting your current lifestyle. These gifts can be adjusted as your circumstances change, making them an optimal gift for many donors.
Trusts
It’s simple to make a gift through your will or living trust. Your attorney can include a provision for Rogerson when you create your plans or prepare a codicil to your will or a trust amendment if you are updating plans. Our Advancement team can work with you to make sure you are accomplishing your intentions with the gift while ensuring you are recognized during your lifetime.
Retirement Assets
Retirement assets such as IRAs, 401(k)s, and 403(b)s can make ideal gifts for Rogerson’s programs and can provide substantial tax benefits for you and your heirs. Donors of all ages can make this type of gift.
When left to individuals other than a spouse, these assets are potentially subject to federal and state income and estate taxes. As a result, little may remain for your heirs. Leaving your retirement funds to a charitable organization such as Rogerson eliminates these taxes, reduces your taxable estate, and allows you to leave other tax-efficient assets to your heirs. One-hundred percent of your gift can be put to work providing housing and care to Rogerson residents.
