Rogerson Communities Announces Its Most Diverse Board in 165 Year History

Rogerson Communities, the leading support organization for older adults in the Boston area, today announced additions to their Board of Directors who bring a range of perspectives and experience integral for the non-profit to continue towards its strategic plan and mission. The new makeup of its Board makes it the most diverse in the organization’s storied history, dating back to 1860.

The new additions include Royal L. Bolling, Jr., Bishop William E. Dickerson, II, Gary P. Kearney, M.D., Barbara J. McNeil, M.D., and Enrique Ramos-Smilgus. More information about each new member is below.

Rogerson’s longstanding commitment to diversity of its staff, of which today includes 73 percent women and 69 percent people of color, has always been a point of pride and its greatest strength.

“At all management and operational levels, Rogerson Communities is from and of the community we serve,” said President and CEO Walter Ramos. “Now this critical differentiator is just as reflected on our Board. This abundance of new perspectives and insights will prove invaluable as we continue to build a world wherein every older adult feels valued and can age with dignity in their community.”
