Briarwood Named Top Retirement Community in Massachusetts for Third Straight Year

The Briarwood Community has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities for 2026 and tops in the state, marking the third consecutive year the Rogerson managed community has been ranked #1 in Massachusetts. The Worcester community also ranks first across New England.
“Briarwood sets an inspiring standard for what exceptional senior living should look like,” said Walter Ramos, President and CEO of Rogerson Communities. “Their dedication to quality care, community, and resident well-being is evident in everything they do. It’s a privilege to stand alongside a team making such a powerful impact on older adults in the Worcester area.”
The award, presented in partnership with Statista, highlights top-performing continuing care retirement communities across the country. Communities are evaluated using a comprehensive methodology focused on quality of care and resident experience. Rankings are based on four key pillars: reputation, visitor satisfaction provided by Accushield, accreditation, and Google reviews. The results draw on thousands of surveys from medical professionals, residents, and their families nationwide. The full list can be found on the Newsweek website.
