Halloween Fun at Adult Day Health

Halloween came a day early to our Adult Day Health program in Roslindale this year with a party and costume contest for participants on Friday, October 30. Activities Coordinator Bean Pecorari morphed into a vampire to serve as emcee for the event, complete with long fangs and a Bela Lugosi-style accent that never wavered.
But the real stars of the day were the costumed participants, who strutted down the red carpet before a panel of staff judges. There were prize baskets for the winners, Halloween cake for everyone, and a lot of hooting, hollering, and applause throughout the room.

“It was a hit,” says Bean, adding that, while ADH has hosted costume contests before, the addition of the red carpet inspired an extra level of swagger from participants, some of whom brought along family members for the event.
Rogerson’s ADH crowd reminds us that Halloween is not only for kids—and they can still have just as much fun.
