Welcome Home turns 10!

This year Rogerson Communities’ 10th anniversary Welcome Home! gala fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at The Mandarin Oriental Boston, Copley’s much anticipated new luxury venue.

It gives Rogerson Communities great pleasure to be honoring Joseph P. & Carolyn J. Campanelli with the 2008 Charles E. Rogerson Award for Community Service in recognition of their contributions to the Greater Boston community.

Joseph P. Campanelli is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. and Sovereign Bank. A husband and wife team who are raising three children, Joe and Carolyn care tremendously about the state of our city and have been involved with and supportive of numerous charitable organizations providing much needed services to the Greater Boston community.

In addition to serving as Sovereign’s President and CEO, Joe is Chairman of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Tufts Medical Center. He also plays a leadership role with the United Ways of New England and is a Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston.

Carolyn is an Overseer for the New England Aquarium where she also co-chairs the Aquarium’s Navigator Society and serves on the Development Committee. She is actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Boston and the United Ways Mass Bay. In addition, she serves on several committees at Dana Hall School in Wellesley.

Joe and Carolyn have also provided their time and support to the National Braille Press, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Shelter Inc.
