Rogerson
Communities is the area's premier provider of adult day health
and fitness programs for frail elders. These services allow
older adults to live independently while saving thousands
of dollars not spent on nursing home care.

Who
benefits from attending the Adult Day Center?
• Those whose health situation should be regularly monitored,
including those with diabetes, high blood pressure or complications
caused by stroke or heart attack
• Persons who need medication supervision or administration
• Older adults who may not be eating properly or adequately
on their own
• Adults who enjoy daily activities, outings and companionship
• Families who worry about leaving an older person alone
all day, or who may be considering giving up a job in order
to care for that person
Our
on-staff registered nurses, licensed practical nurse and licensed
social worker can:
• Help coordinate participants’ medical care and arrange
lab tests and medical appointments
• Arrange transportation to and from the program and
medical appointments
• Provide vision and hearing screenings
• Continually assess participants’ medical condition
• Administer medications, including eye drops and injections
such as insulin
• Change dressings
• Monitor blood sugar levels and vital signs, including
blood pressure and pulse rate
• Administer flu shots
• Supervise physical therapy, occupational therapy and
speech therapy programs
• Provide participant advocacy, counseling and family
support

• Frequent trips to restaurants, concerts, museums, movies
and shops
• Educational and current events programs
• Gardening, crafts and creative arts
• Dance and movement therapy
• Music, art, expressive and pet therapies
• Regular visits by a beautician, podiatrist, optometrist
and other specialists
• Breakfast, hot lunch and snack are served daily. All
meals meet USDA requirements
Transportation
• Van, chaircar or taxi cab
• Other transportation can be arranged

seven minutes from Chestnut Hill by way of Hammond Pond and
West Roxbury parkways and only ten minutes from Dedham and
Route 128, Rogerson Communities Adult Day Center is conveniently
located for residents of Boston, Brookline, Dedham, Milton,
Newton and other Boston suburbs.
