Faneuil House provides attractive, comfortable and affordable
housing for individuals and families in the former Faneuil
School on Joy Street, Beacon Hill.
Close
to Government Center, Downtown Crossing, Boston Common and
the Back Bay, it offers modern apartments in a fully rehabilitated
building with central air conditioning, laundry, trash compacting

are available for use by residents and Beacon Hill neighbors.

40 single-room apartments and studio units each have private
baths. In addition, five two-bedroom and three three-bedroom

is based on income, family-size and meeting suitability requirements
of good character and credit. These highly affordable apartments
were especially designed to be attractive to single people
and families who work in the Downtown, West End and Back Bay
areas and who want to live nearby.
Apartments
Details
Single-room and studio units range in size from 245 to 440
square feet and are of two types, studio apartments and single
room apartments. Each unit has a full private bath. Two of
the studios are wheelchair accessible.
The three three-bedroom apartments average 1,075 square
feet and the five two-bedroom apartments average 830 square
feet. All units have modern kitchens and baths (the three-bedroom
units have two baths). One of the two-bedroom apartments is
wheel-chair accessible.
