Rogerson manages more than 1,000 units of assisted
and independent housing, serving nearly 1,500 families.
Rogerson’s pioneering adult day health programs
provide the support and care of “nursing homes
without walls” to an additional 250 elders who
choose to live in their own homes or with family.

has pioneered in the provision of specialized housing
and services for people with Alzheimer’s disease
and HIV/AIDS. Rogerson also manages retirement communities
for active seniors. Other nonprofit organizations,
including Sophia Snow House/Roxbury Home for Aged
Women, Mount Pleasant Home, King’s Daughters
and Sons of Norfolk County, Council of Elders and
Forward, Inc., turn to Rogerson Communities for development
and management expertise.

Founded
in 1860 in Boston as the “Home for Aged Men,”
the first privately supported home in the area for “respectable
aged and indigent men,” over the past twenty-five
years Rogerson Communities has evolved from a single retirement
home for older men to a network of innovative, accessible,
affordable housing and services for elders, persons with
disabilities and low-income individuals and families in
