Meeting
the Challenge:
The
Campaign for Rogerson Communities
Thanks
to Rogerson's friends and supporters,
the organization surpassed its goal of raising $3 million
during the Campaign for Rogerson Communities. This
support has allowed Rogerson to help Greater Boston's elderly
and low-income men and women through:
Innovation
Sophia
Snow Place (right) in Roslindale provides an
affordable retirement choice for middle-income elders, with
102 independent living and residential care units.

Livable Communities
Carleton
House
(left), a previously-abandoned, historic building
at 2055 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury, will provide 44 affordable
apartments for working individuals and families.
Independence
Rogerson Fitness
FIRST, a
fitness program designed specially for elders, is keeping
elders strong at four sites: Rogerson
Communities Adult Day Center,
Rogerson Brookline Adult Day Health Program, Rogerson
House Community Day Program and Springhouse.
Growth
Rogerson
now manages The Dana Home
in Lexington and is discussing plans to develop housing for
another Boston area non-profit.
In addition,
Rogerson was able to expand its offices and increase its staff
through the Kresge Challenge Grant, which awarded the Campaign
$300,000 in December 2003 in recognition of Rogerson’s
superlative record in developing high-quality housing and
services for low-income elders and others in need.
