Caring
for persons with Alzheimer's disease or other memory loss
has long been a priority for Rogerson Communities.
The
Dementia Program at Rogerson
Communities Adult Day Center in
Roslindale was established in 1993; Rogerson
House, formerly called the Boston Alzheimer's Center,
which opened in 1998 and offers assisted living, a day program
and respite care, was developed and is managed by Rogerson;
and Allen House at Springhouse,
Boston's only continuing care retirement community (also managed
by Rogerson), provides special care for persons with memory
loss.
The
Resource Library at Rogerson House is open to the public
and provides families, patients and caregivers with information
about the disease. The Library sponsors an ongoing lecture
series that is videotaped and made available for viewing by
those unable to attend.
