House Elders Host Local Youth Arts Group Zumix
Beacon
House invited Boston students of all ages from Zumix’
Warmth Program, which performs music for elders during the
cold winter months, to sing at Beacon House Friday, February
24, 2006.
The event
began with a performance by Zumix at 3 p.m. Beacon House hosted
a pizza party to thank students immediately following the
performance.
Beacon
House, developed and managed by Rogerson Communities, is located
at 19 Myrtle Street on Beacon Hill and offers 135 rent-subsidized
and below market-rate apartments for the elderly and persons
with disabilities.
Rogerson Communities has provided housing and health care
for elders and low-
income individuals and families since it was founded in 1860.
Today, Rogerson serves more than 1,500 Greater Boston families
through 23 facilities and programs. These services include
housing, adult day health programs, fitness training and memory
loss care and treatment.
