Dana Home of Lexington is a not-for-profit retirement residence
located in a residential neighborhood, just steps from Lexington
Center. Housed in a lovely Victorian originally built in 1888,
the Dana Home features all of the modern conveniences while
preserving its rich historical character. The Dana Home offers
gracious private living quarters, elegantly furnished common
rooms, and pleasant outdoor areas.
Dana Home residents have the privacy they desire, plus
the convenience and companionship of living within a small
community. They receive individualized attention and assistance
from a professional caring staff, including a full-time Administrator,
Activities Director and chef. Supportive services, from housekeeping
to medication administration, give residents the freedom to
enjoy the company of their neighbors as well as scheduled
social, cultural and wellness activities.
The Dana Home is conveniently located just outside Lexington
Center. It is within walking distance of gift shops, restaurants,
summer concerts at Hastings Park, the Lexington Public Library
and many of the town's places of worship. The Dana Home is
also a short drive to Routes 2, 2A and 128/95, with easy access
to a wide array of regional healthcare services, historic
sites and cultural attractions.
Public bus transportation is conveniently nearby. The
Dana Home also utilizes a wheelchair-accessible van for resident
group outings.
In keeping with the Dana Home's rich tradition of service
to local elders, residency preference is given to Lexington
residents or those who have family in Lexington. All others
are welcome based on availability.
