Beacon House

Assistant Property ManagerFull Time

Rogerson Communities is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to aid in day to day operations of Beacon House. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for clerical work which includes financial record keeping and reporting, marketing tasks related to occupancy, preparation and processing of leases and resident forms as well as other tasks related to the management of the property. This individual will assist the Property Manager with any tasks or projects assigned and will assume the duties and responsibilities of the Property Manager in their absence.

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree or three years of experience in a managerial capacity in property management. This position will require superior organizational and communication skills as well as experience maintaining financial records and reports, familiarity with MS Office programs and the ability to walk to all parts of the building for inspection and in the event of an emergency. Sensitivity to issues of aging is imperative.

Egleston ADC

Activities CoordinatorFull Time

Rogerson Communities is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and implement a monthly activity program appropriate to the interests and capabilities of participants at our Adult Day Health Program in Egleston Square. Program should include activities, trips, educational groups and special activities designed to meet and maintain the social, recreational, emotional, developmental and spiritual needs of the participants. Ensure smooth operation of the daily schedule.

The qualified candidate will have a High School Diploma with 2 to 5 years experience in Activities, Recreational Therapy, Gerontology or related field. Must have the ability to develop and implement therapeutic activity programming for individuals and groups, sensitivity to the needs of disabled and low income adults and elders, supervisory experience helpful and ability to work cooperatively as a multidisciplinary team member.


Rogerson HouseJamaica Plain

Recreation AssistantFull-Time

Rogerson House seeks a Full Time Recreation Assistant to implement scheduled therapeutic recreation activities both inside and outside the facility. This person will be responsible for assisting in providing a varied program that meets the physical, emotional and social needs of the Alzheimer’s resident and contributes to their overall quality of life.

The qualified candidate will possess sensitivity to issues of aging needs of the dementia resident and diverse populations; have the ability to work as part of a team and maintain good relationships with supervisors, co-workers, clients and family members; and the physical ability to carry and set up supplies for activities, lead exercise activities for residents and participants and move furniture in order to accommodate activities. Two years of experience as a recreation assistant in an elder care or Alzheimer’s care facility is preferred; experience leading group recreation programs for elders or persons with dementia and basic computer skills are required.


Certified Nursing Assistantvarying schedules available (full-time, part-time and per-diem)

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist residents in Activities of Daily Living. This includes, but is not limited to, toileting, bathing, dressing, taking vital signs and assessing residents' need for additional medical attention. Certified Nursing Assistants will also provide residents with reminders and cues to take medications, under the careful supervision of the Nursing Coordinator. Certified Nursing Assistants will also participate in the recreation program, under the supervision of the Recreation Director. This individual must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) and have at least two years direct experience working with the elderly. Knowledge of and/or 1 year of experience working with people with Alzheimer's Disease or related disorders and sensitivity to issues of aging is key.
