Rogerson Roslindale Dementia Day Program offers adults with memory loss an
array of therapeutic activities and access to needed health services.
Participants come to the center during the day and return to their own
homes in the afternoon.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has selected the specialized program
as one of 50 nationwide to demonstrate
the efficacy of day treament for Alzheimer's patients.
Staff received specialized training and worked with participants in a
secure program area designed to support persons with dementia. A full
day of activity helps sustain participants' positive emotional outlook
and keeps them active so they are less agitated when they return home
in the afternoon.
